Here at HF Fabrication we make your ideas a reality. We produced these robot platforms with threaded holes and high strength welding. This stand needed high precision threaded hole location. We then used our HAAS VF-3 vertical mill https://www.haascnc.com/machines/vertical-mills/vf-series/models/medium/vf-3.html to mill the 4 x 16mm threaded holes. HF Fabrication work envelope of the VF-3 allows us to accommodate large parts that need precision machining. This Robot Platform is made from 3/4″ steel with a 2″ riser. For welding, we had a fillet weld using a 6010 rod for 100% penetration followed by 7018 rod for strength. This in house ability saves money allowing us to pass on the savings to our customers. Working with the customer we were able to help cut costs by offering different cutting methods. As a result, working through these questions and processes allows us to provide the best possible product that fits into your budget. For instance, this job we used a plasma cutter to create the shapes and finished the process in the mill. This allows us to speed up the first operation of prepping the material. Our mill allows us to machine multiple parts at a time allowing us to complete the jobs faster than our competitors. Finally, our close relation with our metal suppliers allow us to offer the lowest price in material. Although, feel free to bring your own materials and we will work with you.
