Here at HF Fabrication we have flexibility in our steel fabrication. Here is an example of CNC steel fabrication where we created a custom 10,000 lb. drop axle. This CNC steel fabrication job used 1″ high strength steel. We then used our HAAS VF-3 vertical mill https://www.haascnc.com/machines/vertical-mills/vf-series/models/medium/vf-3.html to mill the two 4″ holes. HF Fabrication is equipped with a pallet changer and a 15k spindle. This allows us to cut production times down significantly. This ability saved time and tool life allowing us to pass on the savings to our customers. Also for this job we used an oxy-acetylene torch to cut the shape. The customer didn’t need to have perfect edges and we were able to provide the final product that met their needs at the lowest price. Working with the customer on the details of this specific project, we were able to help cut costs. As a result, working through these questions and processes allows us to provide the best possible product that fits into the budget. Our mill allows us to make large parts that fit most needs for any CNC steel fabrication job.
